Rosapenna is the proud home to the Old Tom Morris Links designed by Old Tom Morris of St. Andrews in 1893 and a modern great in the Sandy Hills Links laid out by Pat Ruddy of The European Club fame and open for play since 2003. The new St Patrick's Links by Tom Doak opened in late June and has taken the golf world by storm.
Accommodation comprises of warmly decorated rooms and suites, which have en suite bathrooms, as well as satellite TV, free WiFi, mini fridges, and tea and coffee making facilities. Some offer beach or bay views. Suites add private balconies, sitting areas and free-standing tubs.
Further amenities include a 9-hole academy course, an indoor pool and whirlpool tub, plus a spa, steam room and sauna. There's also a golf pavilion featuring a restaurant, a lounge, and a games room.
The original design of this links course is credited to (and named after) Old Tom Morris who, in 1891, was visiting Lord Leitrim at his nearby estate, and was quick to see the golfing potential of the fine stretch of coastline.
Opened in 2003, the Sandy Hills Links at Rosapenna has matured into one of Ireland's finest modern links courses.
The Rosapenna Golf Resort acquired the St Patrick’s Links in late 2012, a former 36-hole facility developed by the Walsh Family of Carrigart.
