Portugal, Algarve
Pinhal Golf Course is set among a pine tree forest and is set back from the tourist beach area. This is a very enjoyable course, testing choice of clubs and accuracy.
The Par 4, fourth is a tough test with water
to navigate and the Par 3 eighth at 149 metres is more difficult than it
first appears. The back nine holes have a more open feel but the slightly
altered 15th is a challenging par 4.
Step out onto a golden Vilamoura Beach, or enjoy water sports at the nearby marina. There are several golf courses a short drive away, including the Victoria Clube de Golfe, home of the Portugal Masters.
There is a great choice of apartments and villas at Pestana Carvoeiro, dotted around the Pinta's and Gramacho Golf Courses.
The Magnolia Hotel is surrounded by sun-kissed Algarve coastlines, and is close to 3 superb golf courses at Quinta do Lago.
Perfectly situated on the wonderful Algarve coast, the four star Dom Pedro Marina is just a ‘stones throw’ from the inviting blue Atlantic Ocean.
The Royal Golf Course has rolling fairways set amidst pine trees and beautiful lakes.
Host of the 2017 and 2018 Open de Portugal, Morgado Old is a links style course with flat, wide fairways and Scottish links-inspired bunkers.
The 18 hole Millennium Golf Course is located within the Vilamoura Resort area.
Currently the longest 18 hole golf course in Portugal and host to the Portugal Masters.
