The Regnum Carya Golf Club opened in November 2008, and the Regnum Hotel followed in the Spring of 2014.
The course was designed by Thomson, Perrett and Lobb, which was founded by five-time Open Champion, Peter Thomson. Like the other golf courses in the area, Carya was carved through the pine forest that hugs the Belek coastline. The course has three or four gentle climbs that add a few changes in elevation thanks to the natural sand bank that divides the course.
The full 18 holes at Carya are floodlit with the highest quality lighting available making it possible to play into the evening. The ball is actually easier to see at night than it is in the sunshine.
Although the fairways are lined with pine trees, they are generous and the semi rough is kept very short throughout the year. There are a few fairway bunkers dotted around the course but nothing too severe. Underneath the trees it is well maintained with pine straw, reminiscent of the Masters, covering the ground. Carya Golf Course is 7,100 yards and par 72 from the back tees. Thankfully there is a choice of five tees on each hole, so you can play the length that suits your game.
